Gluten Free Magic Bake Off is back for 2016!

"We have a start date for The Great British Bake Off - hooray! The BBC baking show will kick off on Wednesday 24th August, after the Rio 2016 Olympics have finished. That only means one thing for us at Delicious Alchemy - our very own Gluten Free Magic Bake Off is here too! We’re back for the third year and we are so excited to get cracking! We know there are plenty of gluten free baking enthusiasts out there, and we want to hear from you. Once again, we’ll be running an eight-week competition to crown the Gluten Free Magic Bake Off Champion 2016!  

The Gluten Free Magic Bake Off 2016

We will be challenging all you kitchen wizards to don your aprons and cook up some gluten free magic. Entries can be sweet, savoury or a mix of both – we don’t mind, as long as it’s gluten free. For the first six weeks from Wednesday 24th August until midday on Tuesday 4th October, enter by uploading your pictures via our Facebook, Twitter or Instagram, or email us at hello@deliciousalchemy.com. We will announce a weekly winner to receive a Delicious Alchemy hamper packed with gluten free goodies. At the end of the first six weeks, all entries will go through to a public vote on Facebook with people “liking” their favourite. The three photos with the most “likes” at midday on Tuesday 11th October will then go on to our final GFMBO Showstopper Challenge. The ultimate winner of the Showstopper Challenge will be awarded the title of Gluten Free Magic Bake Off Champion and win an incredible prize of gluten free afternoon tea for two in Leeds with an overnight stay in a hotel, as well as a box of goodies to complete the prize. You’ll also be invited to recreate your recipe in a professional photo shoot with Delicious Alchemy.   Need some inspiration?  Our 2015 GFMBO winner, Jenny Swift, created a stunning three-tiered Gluten Free Celebration Cake, with layers of lemon & poppyseed, coffee & walnut and chocolate & berry:   Our 2014 GFMBO winner, Kate Hardie, created a Blooming Lovely Citrus and Poppy Seed Celebration Drizzle Cake, filled with Prosecco Cream and Homemade Blackberry Jam:
